Terms
Terms for using Contractor Connect.
These terms cover the website, contractor accounts and customer portals. They were last updated on 28 October 2026. They have not been certified by a solicitor.
The terms
Who these terms cover
These terms apply to the Contractor Connect website, contractor accounts and the customer portals those accounts provide. A quote or payment schedule is a separate document between a contractor and their customer.
Accounts
A contractor creates an account and is responsible for the people they allow to use it. A customer uses a portal only when a contractor invites them. Keep sign-in details private and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
What you may upload
Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, and do not use the service to break the law, harass someone, or send malicious files. Contractors are responsible for the customer and project information they put into a portal.
Payments
Where a contractor takes a payment through the service, that payment is processed by the payment provider connected to their account. Contractor Connect does not hold those customer funds. Subscription or plan charges, where they apply, are shown before you confirm them.
Subscription price and cancellation
The platform subscription is £10 a month, plus a £10 one-time setup fee charged with the first payment. The first payment is £20 (£10 for the first month plus the £10 setup fee), then £10 a month. Amounts are shown before any tax that applies. Checkout shows the final total before you confirm. £300 a year for one custom portal hostname. This is optional and separate from the £10 monthly subscription and the £10 setup fee. Cancel from Billing at any time. The subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed. The workspace then pauses and your records are kept. If you subscribe again later, the £10 setup fee is not charged a second time. The pricing page describes those charges. These terms do not add a different price, a notice period, or a refund rule. Customer payments for building work, where the product offers them, are taken by the contractor's own payment provider and are not this subscription.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted. We may change or withdraw a feature, and we will not remove a record you are legally required to keep without giving you a way to export it where the product provides one.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or indirect loss, and our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid to Contractor Connect for it in the three months before the claim. We are not a party to the work a contractor agrees with their customer.
Ending use
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk. Sections that should survive, including liability and responsibility for uploaded information, continue to apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales decide disputes about them. If a section cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
